Janet Ripley Armstrong is an Iqaluit based artist who has lived in Nunavut since 1975.

“I love to photograph wildlife in motion. Capturing an animal making eye contact in passing reveals an emotion often missed by the naked eye. My photographs offer a glimpse into the animal world that most people don’t get to experience.

“Coming from a land of green trees, I was amazed at the beauty of the Arctic landscape without them. The fragile colours on the land, sky and sea impressed me.

Drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures at this exhibition are created by students at Inuksuk High School. There are 6 different visual art courses offered at Inuksuk High School each semester, ranging from Grade 9 to Grade 12.
